If in Canada, Black history is just Canadian history, do we still need Black History Month? What does Black History Month have to do with today’s “woke” politics? And what can we learn from Black history to help solve problems today?

Canada’s House of Commons officially recognized Black History Month in 1995. A lot has changed since then, but some argue not enough. To make sense of these questions and establish a better vision for the future, MLI is hosting a webinar panel to highlight the voices of Black Canadians with unique perspectives on Black History Month and its significance in Canada.

Join us on February 17 at 1:00pm ET for a timely and critical conversation about where we’ve been, and where we’re going next.
